The Cow’s Milk-Related Symptom Score (CoMiSSTM) to Facilitate the Awareness of Cow’s Milk Allergy

CoMiSSTM is a clinical tool developed to increase awareness among healthcare professionals (HCP) of possible symptoms cow’s milk allergy (CMA) in infants. During this symposium, leading experts the field paediatric gastroenterology, allergy, and nutrition highlighted how CoMiSS can facilitate CMA support HCPs improving patient journey from symptom presentation diagnosis. Rosan Meyer, Imperial College London, UK; Winchester University, Hampshire, Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven, Belgium, summarised major challenges diagnosis, which underscore need for improved tools HCP hallmark symptoms. Katerina Bajerova, Department Pediatrics, University Hospital, Brno, Czechia, reviewed current evidence base presented key learnings recent experience using tool. Yvan Vandenplas, KidZ Health Castle, Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussel), showcased latest updates 2022 proposed by expert consensus panel explained these improvements would help application raising awareness.
